Distinctive Handcrafted Jewelry

about me

In June of 2012 I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.  Following extensive chemotherapy at Duke Medical Center, and a bone marrow transplant, in April of 2013 I was determined to be in complete remission.

It was during that treatment period that I began to look for ways to keep my mind occupied and busy.  Out of that process Jim Davis Designs was born.  I have always enjoyed working with my hands, and I take much pride in the things that I create.

I find it very renewing and invigorating to come up with an idea or concept for something new, and then set about making it become a reality.  Each piece of jewelry that I create yields a feeling of satisfaction, knowing that my thoughts and my efforts produced a lasting result.

The knowledge that my jewelry is being enjoyed by customers near and far, and that the work of my hands is helping them to feel more attractive and more vibrant, brings me great pleasure.  So what began as a response to fear and anxiety, has evolved into something beautiful and fulfilling.  God can certainly work in strange and mysterious ways.
